An unforgettable and invigorating experience!

Sleeping at the bivouac in the heart of the Nature Reserve

If you would like to do the historic hiking trail of the Ardèche Gorges or the descent with a canoe for two days, bivouac areas have been set up for you! It is indeed forbidden to do wild camping in the Nature Reserve…

2 bivouacs to choose depending on your trailand their availability

You can choose between:

  • the Gaud bivouac, the largest, is located at 1/3 of the descent of the Ardèche Gorges. It enables, for the 32-km trails with a canoe, a late start from Salavas, then to spend a night at the bivouac before going to a new day of descent.
  • the Gournier bivouac is located halfway of the trail. It is best suited for hikers.

At both bivouacs, you will enjoy a nature entertainment with the reserve’s animators, except during the autonomous period.
